Every restoration job in Fort Worth starts the same way: a real person answers the phone, and a real crew shows up with shoe covers on and drop cloths already loaded on the truck. We’re an independently owned and operated location working to the Cedarwell Care Promise, and the technicians who walk through your door are the same people who live in this city. They know Fort Worth’s slab foundations, its clay soil, and the way a summer storm can turn a quiet street into standing water in twenty minutes. This is the team you’ll actually see.
Restoration work we handle

Our People
Rick Sumner, Owner
Rick founded Tidemark Water Damage Fort Worth in 2006, and he’s still the one who reviews moisture logs on the bigger jobs. He came up through the field, not a desk, and it shows. A tide mark is the line water leaves on a wall, and Rick will tell you that finding it is the easy part. Drying past it, into the framing and drywall cavities most people never see, is where the actual work lives. He’s IICRC-credentialed and still occasionally surprises himself with what a thermal camera reveals behind a baseboard. When he’s not on a job site, he’s usually reading building science journals and arguing with them.
Marta R., Lead Technician
Marta has been with Tidemark for nine years and runs most of the water damage and mold remediation jobs in the Fort Worth area. She holds IICRC water damage and mold certifications, and she’s the one who calculates the exact drying chamber layout for each affected room. Marta has a habit of sketching the equipment placement on a scrap of paper before the first piece of equipment comes in, which sounds old-fashioned until you realize the sketch always matches the final setup. She’s also the team member most likely to remind everyone to check the water shutoff valve before the hoses come out. On weekends, Marta coaches youth soccer near TCU.
Derrick J., Senior Installer
Derrick handles the structural side of the work: drywall removal, containment barriers, and the rebuild coordination after water or fire damage. He’s been with Tidemark since 2014 and carries RIA certification in addition to his IICRC credentials. Derrick is the one who knows Fort Worth’s older homes well enough to spot a pre-existing crack in a foundation before anyone accidentally assigns blame to the recent water event. He keeps a roll of blue tape in his pocket at all times, because marking what stays and what goes is the first step in protecting a family’s home. Ask him about his dog, and expect a longer conversation than you planned for.
Sofia L., Service Coordinator
Sofia is the voice on the phone at 2 a.m. when a pipe has burst and someone in Fort Worth needs a human instead of a voicemail. She’s been with Tidemark for seven years and knows the crew schedules well enough that she can tell you who will arrive and roughly when. Sofia is the one who makes sure every job gets a written price before work starts, and that the homeowner receives a photo of the clean-up before the crew leaves. She grew up in the Northside and takes a quiet pride in being the calmest person in any emergency. She also keeps a running list of the best breakfast taco spots within a mile of any given job site.
One Standard, Every Job
The Cedarwell Care Promise isn’t a plaque on the wall. It’s a set of four rules every Tidemark technician follows on every Fort Worth job, whether it’s a small leak under a kitchen sink or a full fire damage restoration. We clean up like it’s our own home, which means shoe covers go on at the door and drop cloths cover the floor before the first piece of equipment comes in. We ask before we move or touch anything, because a family’s belongings are not obstacles, they’re the reason we’re there. We respect the family’s time and quiet hours, which is why we use lower-decibel settings during school hours and nap time when the situation allows. And we explain the price before the work, always in writing, so there are no surprises on the final invoice. Every job is backed by the 365-Day Done Right Promise. If the restoration is not done right, we make it right. That promise is the standard, and it’s the same standard whether Rick, Marta, Derrick, or Sofia is the one on site.
Call (682) 703-9856 and a real person will answer, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We’ll bring the equipment, the credentials, and the written price. You bring the keys.
